We learned last Thursday that Sister Ferrin will be returning to the Utah for some medical tests and procedures. On Friday we drove President and Sister Ferrin to the Airport and said good bye...at least for a time. President Ferrin will return on April 9th. Sister Ferrin will stay longer.
Sister Ferrin has been having some pain and other symptoms for about three months. Last Wednesday she went in for some tests after which the doctors recommended that she reurn home for additional tests and treatment. The area presidency and the missionary committee agreed.
President Dave Aquino the first counselor in the Mission Presidency will act as the interim Mission President. President and Sister Aquino have been called to preside over the Olongapo Mission beginning in January.
Our faith and prayers are with President and Sister Ferrin. They need a miriacle. Please add your faith and prayers to ours. We love them so much and will certainly miss them. How their absence impacts the mission remains to be seen.
