Learning Tagalog

Going to the Philippines for 18 months to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be an amazing adventure. For the past two months we have been learning the basics of Tagalog. English and Tagalog are both spoken in the Philippines. We can now pray, share testimony, get aquainted, ask for basic directions and do some teaching. We have a long way to go but feel great about our progress thus far. Oh, by the way, there are over 80 dialects spoken in the Philippines.
